You've seen hints of it in the photos from the UNKO x Shogun event. You've seen hints in the video. But allow us to formally present the UNKO Fly Logo plush. This is the ONE OF A KIND hand cut, and hand sewn plush pillow made by our friend Keith Tran of Shogun Boutique in Ft Worth. As a favor, he made this for us in celebration of our two forces combining. This plush is NOT for sale, nor will we be making these for mass production. *Reread that last sentence... in fact read it as many times as you need to, in order to fully comprehend that there won't be any other UNKO Fly Logo pillows made. We just thought it was so awesome that it needed to have it's own blog post.

UNKO vs Shogun Video Game
So if you haven't heard by now there is an offical Unkommon Kolor vs Shogun Video Game!!! After making a few tees as an ode to our childhood games, and with the epic collab between us & Shogun... what better way to start off the summer than with our own video game. Who's touching that? No one. The game was created and animated by one of our designers & web developer Arif Merritt (development time 2 days start to finish). UNKO X Shogun: Making the Shirt
Sitcom Outtakes. DVD Special Features. Celebs on Twitter. All of these are evidence that our society gets a kick out of seeing the behind the scenes, or making of the final product that we've grown to love. We all enjoy insight into something we would have otherwise known NOTHING about. With that in mind, we wanted to take you on the journey of how the Unkommon Kolor X Shogun Collab Tee came to be.
While we were working on the preliminary designs for the UNKO x Shogun shirts we first thought to somehow incorporate the skull and the guns with our fly. So, we drew up some versions of what a fly's skull would look like. We didn't like the result and decided to scrap the idea and go with a Godzilla style movie poster design...
... we quickly sketched up the Shobot and a mutant fly terrorizing a city...
... and then again...
... and again...
... the pencil drawing was finalized...
... and we began to work on the outlines...
... we slapped some color on it and voila! we have a t-shirt design.
... So, we sent the design to the printer, and about a week later we get picked up the shirts. Got home ripped open the box, and began to pin on the bottom seam tags...
... then sew them on...
... bagged the shirts up...
... and threw them in the box...
... now we're READY for this weekend!

King without a Ring VS Kobe Pose
LeBron fans HATE Kobe. Kobe fans HATE LeBron. There are people that feel that LeBron is unarguably the best player in the league. And there are people that feel the exact same way about Kobe. But at the end of the day when you strip away all the talent, and physical blessings only one thing matters, it's true that LeBron doesn't have a ring, but I can think of at least one more thing he doesn't have.... #KobePose So as far as I'm concerned in the LeBron VS Kobe argument, it's a DRAW!

UNKO x Shogun
Saturday, May 22, 2010. 7PM. Where will you be? If your answer didn't include Shogun Boutique, in Ft Worth, or dead, it was the incorrect answer. Ok, so that was a little morbid, but we wanted to illustrate how serious (see: dead serious) we are about this date and time. Some of you have undoubtedly heard little murmurings here and there about an Unkommon Kolor and Shogun collaboration release party. Well we just want to confirm that what you've heard is absolutely correct! To kick off the summer and to show our appreciation to you, the fans, we will be in attendance shaking hands and kissing babies, meeting you all face to face, because after all, YOU'RE the reason we do what we do! There will be FREE FOOD and DRINKS, as well as our SUPER exclusive UNKO X SHOGUN COLLAB TEE (which also happens to be our first collab tee). The event starts at 7pm but you'll want to get there early to camp out for the tee. Trust us. This shirt is EPIC! We'll unveil it this weekend, so stick around. If you don't get your hands on this shirt you will be sorry! We'll also have shirts from our Spring Line in the mix, so if you arrive too late to get the collab you can still cop some UNKO gear for all those Memorial Day BBQs.

Super-late-SxSw video
Blue and Morgan do sxsw. We traveled to Austin, Tx to visit our 1st South by Southwest. It's basically hipster heaven. Very good music showcases for cheap or free. We saw everyone for free. I also got to see one of my favorite songs ever (XXplosive-Dr. Dre ft Kurpt) performed live. I also got to catch The Niceguys and Pac Div, which both were experiences. I got pulled on stage with Kendrick Lamar to perform "I do this" with U-N-I. Met Jay-Rock and Kendrick Lamar. It was also cool knowing Dom's lyrics before the mixtape dropped. This was the experience of a life time.
